17.5.2010Bansko. “More than 20 houses and around 10 hotels are flooded in Bansko,” Alexander Kravarov, Mayor of Bansko, said for Focus News Agency. The emergency draining works are continuing.
Glazne River overflowed at three places, yesterday around 4pm.
“We managed to handle the initial problem, but tonight around 1am, the river overflowed at another place and burst its banks completely,” Kravarov explained. The Mayor added that employees from the fire department, police, Civil Protection Service, and private companies are working to deal with the emergency situation.
