Alfa Finance gets regulatory nod to acquire Broker Ins
14.3.2008Bulgaria's anti-trust authority has cleared the acquisition of 51% in insurance broker Broker Ins by Alfa Finance Holding.
The Commission for the Protection of Competition said the deal would not create a dominant market position.
Alfa Finance will take over the insurance broker through Financia Group, a subholding with core competence in financial services.
The buyer intends to develop Broker Ins as a leading insurance broker on the local market.
Financia Group comprises investment brokerage Bulbrokers, corporate finance advisor Bulbrokers Consulting, asset manager Alfa Asset management and Alfa Credit, a special purpose vehicle for the securitisation of receivables.
