Banking System Profit Reaches Lv 1.5 Bln by November 30, Central Bank Reports

Sofia, December 31 (BTA) - As of November 30, 2019, the profit of the banking system was 1.5 billion leva or by 4.0 per cent (59 million leva) more than in January-November 2018, the Bulgarian National Bank reported on Tuesday. Over the month, the total equity on the balance sheet of the banking system decreased by 307 million leva (2.1 per cent) to 14.2 billion leva. The liquidity coverage ratio was 271.8 per cent at November 30 (compared to 269.2 per cent at the end of October). At the end of November, the liquidity buffer was 28.6 billion leva and net liquidity outflows, 10.5 billion leva. In November 2019, the deposits in the banking system decreased by 436 million leva (0.5 per cent) to 95.8 billion leva. There was a decrease in the deposits of credit institutions (by 531 million leva), of non-financial corporations (by 270 million leva) and of other financial corporations (214 million leva).
