Bansko will substitute an old stadium with a modern sport centre
24.6.2010The sport centre will be spread on a total area of 34 000 square metres and will include a completely renovated football field with over 8 000 covered seats, a parking lot for 800 vehicles and halls for different sports, conference halls, reception desks, lobby bars, swimming pool, restaurants, bowling halls, supermarkets, shops and a hotel part.
The project also plans to substitute the old flora in the park. The lake will become an ice rink during the winter. Bicycle alleys and an amphitheater will be also constructed. The initiators of the project have used ideas from the architecture of the Bansko part of the Zograf monastery in Aton.
