Bulgaria Govt Allocates BGN 1 M to Small Firms for Innovative Knowledge
21.3.2008The program envisages a grant scheme for the realization of activities enabling universities and science institutes to provide firms with technological knowledge in order to stimulate the link between science and business, the Bulgarian Information Agency BTA reported.
Thus, depending on the project that they have developed, Bulgarian businesses can receive a small grant of BGN 5000, or a large grant of BGN 15 000.
In order to apply for funding, the respective firms should a micro, small or medium-sized companies under the Small and Medium Businesses Act.
Only projects that provide for the tackling of complex tasks through the acquisition and application of innovations of products, processes, and services are eligible to run for a grant.
The grant is going to finance only the consulting services provided by the source of knowledge to the beneficiary firm. Applications can be submitted in the regional offices of the Executive Agency for supporting small and medium enterprises.
