Dunav Mall project kicks off in Ruse
20.3.2008Local company Marmeg said it will break ground Friday for Dunav Mall, the first Western-style shopping center in the Danube city of Ruse.
Dunav Mall, designed in line with the standards of the International Council of Shopping Centers, will be located at the intersection of four traffic flows: one incoming from Romania via the Danube bridge and the rest bound for Sofia, Varna, Silistra and the center of Ruse.
The complex is also adjacent to the Ruse industrial park which has a workforce of 10,000.
The shopping mall will have a build area of 32,000 sq m, four above- and one underground levels, a 2,200 sq supermarket on the ground floor and 70 outlets in total on the first and second floors. The third floor will house various eateries and entertainment facilities like bowling alleys.
The project will be implemented on a 15 mln euro loan from Austria's Hypo Alpe-Adria-Leasing.
Marmeg is a company specially incorporated to develop Dunav Mall.
