New deferral for Cherno More motorway project

Talks are underway with the EIB to arrange a concession deal for the project, said Dimitrov, adding that any results should be expected by late September 2008 at the earliest.
At the moment, there is no need to change the selected route of the motorway - Duras, Tirana, Skopje, Sofia, Burgas, Varna, said the government official.
Preliminary estimates put the length of the Burgas-Varna stretch at around 105 km. Only 11 km of that section have been built so far, between Varna and the village of Priseltsi.
The environmental impact assessment for the motorway is ready and is about to be tabled for a public discussion.
The cost of the unfinished section of the motorway along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast is seen at around 320 mln euro
