Over 50 Galleries and Museums in Sofia Join European Night of Museums

Sofia, May 18 (BTA) - Over 50 galleries and museums in Sofia are joining the European Night of Museums on May 18. The 15th edition of the event was organized on the initiative of the French Institute in Bulgaria, the Sofia City Hall and the Culture Ministry. On the bill of the long night of museums are exhibitions, concerts, workshops, film screenings and various art events. Admission is free for all events on the programme. Among the participants are the National Gallery, the Square 500 Gallery, the Sofia City Art Gallery, the National History Museum, the National Museum of Archaeology, the Ethnographic Museum and the Arsenal Museum of Contemporary Art. The European Night of Museums aims to bring in the focus of public attention the cultural heritage with its richness, and to attract new audiences to museums and galleries.
