Overgas Inc to spend 75 mln levs on new gas mains in '08
14.3.2008Overgas Inc., the Bulgarian gas supplier, said it has earmarked 75 mln levs for the deployment of gas distribution networks in 2008.
The company plans to plug 28,000 households into its distribution grid by adding 228 km of gas mains this year.
City-by-city, the infrastructure development plans of the company break down as follows: 61.4 km of gas mains and 8,920 new customers in Sofia, 26 km and 3,726 households in Burgas, 22.8 km and 691 households in Varna, 9.9 km and 1,239 households in Veliko Tarnovo, 9.7 km and 2,096 households in Ruse and 12.2 km and 970 households in Stara Zagora.
At the moment, the Overgas subsidiaries have a combined clientbase of around 40,000 households that have either already switched to gas or in the process of doing so.
The company's early March general shareholder meeting produced the news that Overgas was considering going public on a major European bourse.
At the time, the management said the company will either issue debt or perform a capital raise with both options still under consideration.
