Serbia and Macedonia highly interested in Bulgarian winter resorts: association chairman

02.11.2009
Like last year, this year the tourist sector again hopes to welcome enough tourists in the resorts for the upcoming holidays. Serbian and Macedonian citizens are highly interested in the Bulgarian winter resorts, Blagoy Ragin, Chairman of the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association, told FOCUS News Agency.
He says that when the visas for Serbian and Macedonian citizens are lifted, Bulgaria will welcome even more tourists in 2010 than last year. Some 10 travel agencies arrive in Bansko on Saturday from Macedonia. They will reserve beds for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, he said.
According to Ragin Pamporovo will be the most preferred resort this year, because of the large investments in ski facilities for artificial snow and suitable infrastructure.
A lot of capitals were put in there and it is expected that the pass close to Rudozem, which connects Bulgaria and Greece, will be opened. And if that happens, Pamporovo will revive, he said.
The prices of the tourist services will be like last year’s.
“My colleagues will give bonuses to each tourist, something additional that will make the product more attractive,” noted Ragin.
