18.1.2010Bulgarian winter resorts began to look like Babel. In Bansko and Pamporovo near ten languages are spoken. Ski lovers hit the jackpot. The snow cover in most places is sufficient for skiing and the slopes are perfectly prepared. Hotels are packed. Bansko is crammed with Bulgarians, Greeks, Macedonians, Serbs, Turks, Russians, Englishmen, Germans, Scandinavians and many others.
Rhodope ski resorts also offer perfect conditions for skiing.
However, hundreds of foreign tourists forgot about the skies and even their wives and spend the day in the tavernas. The clear and fresh mountain air serves just to come to ones senses after the hangover in the morning. The SPA centres barely manage to satisfy the thousands, who would like to have a massage or to enjoy the pools.
