Sofia municipality cancels 16 property swops
26.3.2010Sofia city council, in a decision on March 25 2010, cancelled 16 swop transactions involving municipal real estates approved between 2001 and 2007.
City council secretary Ralitsa Stoyanova said that the move follows legislative changes introduced in 2009, which bans this type of deal.
"The law stipulates that al swaps that had not been completed by the end of March 2009 had to be declared void," she said.
