Stoichkov to Become CSKA Coach

25.10.2010
Valentin Mihov to be CSKA President

Hristo Stoichkov is very likely to become CSKA's coach. The most successful Bulgarian footballer is CSKA's last hope for survival. Yesterday, CSKA owners invited Hristo Stoichkov to become the club's coach after the Red club lost their home match from the Europa League vs SK Rapid Wien. After the match, CSKA ultras surrounded the stadium and shouted out for a general change in the club. The riot ended with street fightings and arrests. Pressed by the angry fans, the CSKA owners Dimitar Borissov and Ivo Ivanov declared they were stepping down of the club's management and would only be CSKA sponsors. Borissov and Ivanov launched a total purge in CSKA as they dismissed sports director Emil Kostadinov and coach Gjore Jovanovski. Yesterday, the whole power in CSKA was given to the former president of the Bulgarian Professional Football League, Valentin Mihov, who will become CSKA new president. Mr. Mihov immediately phoned Hristo stoichkov with an offer to become CSKA coach as of the new season. Presently Stoichkov is having a holiday in the winter resort of Bansko and according to the information from Standart he has accepted the offer to help his favourite club CSKA find a way-out of the difficult moments.
