Transport Minster Zhelyazkov Meets with EASA Director General

July 3 (BTA) - Transport Minister Rossen Zhelyazkov met with European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Director General Patrick Ky, Zhelyazkov's ministry said. The meeting took place at Zhelyazkov's invitation as part of measures to ensure safety and environmental protection in Bulgaria''s civil aviation sector. The two sides agreed to sign a memorandum between the Bulgarian authorities and EASA which will set out the measures which will be taken to streamline the activities of Bulgaria's aviation administration. The two sides will set up a steering committee to monitor their implementation. Also EASA Director General Ky talked with Stanimir Leshev, head of the Directorate General for Civil Aviation Administration. The two discussed the activities of the Directorate.
