Where to Ski and Snowboard launch 2011 resort guide

14.9.2010
The latest ski guide from Where to Ski and Snowboard will help snowsports fans who don’t want to break the bank

Edited by skiers Dave Watts and Chris Gill, the latest edition of Where to Ski and Snowboard builds on the Resort Price Index (RPI) introduced in the 2010 edition with an updated RPI now available for many major resorts.

With an average of 100, resort’s are given an RPI based on bar and restaurant prices, meaning those who want to watch the pennies can look for RPIs at the lower end of the scale. 50 budget resorts are listed, with Bansko in Bulgaria coming out the cheapest.

The guide also provides ‘resort ratings at a glance’ for eight countries in Europe and North America with criteria including fast lifts, scenery, convenience, snow, queues and the terrain on offer for different ability levels.

Extended sections on Austria, Italy, the French Pyrenees, Spain and Slovenia as well as new material are also on offer. “Over 100 major resort improvements such as new fast lifts, extra snowmaking and smart new hotels are featured” commented Gill.
