200,000 visitors will see photo exposition at Terminal 2

Dozens of stands with pictures of unique sights of Bulgaria with portraits of people, beautiful landscapes and monuments of culture are a magnet for passengers and visitors at the Departure Hall of Terminal 2 in Sofia Airport. The photo exhibition with the logo “Bulgaria: an Attractive Tourist Destination” was inaugurated yesterday in a gallery behind the desks of passport control in Terminal 2 and will welcome visitors till end-October. At least 200,000 visitors (this is the average number of people who pass through the terminal every month) will see the exhibition. In December it will travel to Pleven, in January, to Bansko and in May will be open in KaVarna.
The unusual exposition is dedicated to International Day of Tourism and is organized by NGO Regional Business Center – Pleven. The exhibited works have been collected across Bulgaria, some have been sent in from other countries.
The Airport is the entrance gate of Bulgaria, we could hardly find a better place for such an exhibition. We are happy that Sofia Airport management grasped the message of this initiative and agreed to stage the exhibition her,” said Tsarin Asparukhov, Director of the Regional Business Center- Pleven.
A hundred and sixty amateur photographers sent in 450 pictures for the contest. Those selected by the jury are included in the exhibition. All photos could be seen at www.phototourismbg.com. “We will confer an audience’s award,” said Asparukhov. The best pictures were announced at the exhibition inauguration at Sofia Airport on Monday.
